HIV Treatments

HIV and HIV treatments are complex and with more than 20 medications on the market (and others in development), it’s important your care be led by providers with the expertise to help you stay healthy. Many of our pharmacists are certified as AAHIVP Specialists by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, which are the only credentials for providers specializing in HIV care. If you are living with HIV, we provide a wealth of services to support you, including medication delivery, online refills and financial assistance. To help you stay healthy, our pharmacists:

  • Assess your health history and help prevent harmful drug interactions
  • Guide your dose and routine to ensure taking your medication is as easy and effective as possible
  • Help you better manage physical side effects
  • Interpret directions for taking, storing, and refilling your prescriptions
  • Are available 24/7 to answer your questions or address your concerns

Fighting the Stigma

Communities that are more likely to be affected by HIV often face stigma, which can create barriers to treatment and lead to new cases of HIV. Avita is committed to helping communities learn more about HIV and the role we all play in fighting stigma and ending the HIV epidemic. Visit Avita’s K[NO]W HIV website www.knowhiv.me to learn more.

Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U)

When a person being treated for HIV is designated “undetectable”, that means the amount of virus in their system is so small it doesn’t show up in blood tests, and that person can no longer transmit HIV to another person. Avita is committed to getting the word out that U=U is an incredible tool for providing hope to those living with HIV, promoting the benefits of treatment, preventing new cases of HIV and fighting stigma.
